He then attended law school at Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. He graduated cum laude in 2013. He and his wife, Ashlynn Hayden Oborn, packed up their two small children and headed back home to Idaho.
While in law school, JD worked as a certified student attorney for the Ramsey County Attorney's Office. Working in the child support enforcement division, he handled over 500 child support establishment, paternity, and divorce hearings. After graduating law school and returning to Pocatello, JD clerked for the Honorable David C. Nye in the Sixth Judicial District.
JD's practice includes the areas of business law, contracts, personal injury litigation, estate planning, and property law. He is a trained Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) and provides free legal representation to CASA volunteers that advocate for abused and neglected children.
